About Marcel Park
Marcel Park is a Jazz Pianist/Composer/Arranger, born in Seoul, South Korea in the year of 2001, features a subtle touch on piano developed during his European Classical piano study since age of 4, he was brought up in a musical background provided by his parents, an accordionist mother and a conductor/trombonist father.
After 3 years of Jazz lessons from an Alumnus of Herbie Hancock Institute, Marcel was selected by many schools in the world, yet, arrived in Europe and studied with many master musicians from New York scene at Prince Claus Conservatory since 2020, such as Steve Nelson, Jesse Davis, Dado Moroni, Don Braden, David Berkman, Danny Grissett, Michael Mossman and many more. Marcel was awarded for Holland Scholarship and Hanze Music Scholarship for 4 years of Bachelor's study as one of the youngest students in Europe.
Marcel likes to be an excellent accompanist for vocalists and soloists and a storyteller in his performance, he is specialized in playing and collaborating with various genres, including Afro-cuban, Brazilian, Traditional and Contemporary Jazz, Classical, pop music and has a unique style of composing music, as "imagination" is the key word for his musical journey.
